Job Summary
Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (“The Wallis”) seeks a senior development professional for the position of Director of Advancement (“DOA”). Working closely with the new leadership team of Chair David Bohnett, Managing Director Rachel Fine and Artistic Director Paul Crewes, the DOA will lead the planning, development and implementation of development strategies to raise $6+ million in contributed revenue annually in addition to raising funds for the capital campaign and other fundraising initiatives.

Reports To
Managing Director

Responsibilities
The DOA is a self-directed, results-oriented front line fundraiser responsible for creating, overseeing and executing a comprehensive development plan for The Wallis. The position forms a vital part of the executive management team and manages the development department staff.

Qualifications
Candidates should have: a Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree in a related field preferred; a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in not-for-profit fundraising and management, preferably in arts and culture; a proven track record of raising major gifts; extensive experience in partnering with an executive team and Board of Directors; and outstanding communication skills. A passion for fundraising and the performing arts is a requirement.

Compensation
Salary is competitive
