DORRANCE DANCE MASTER CLASS

The Wallis invites tap dancers (intermediate level to advanced) to a special master class with Michelle Dorrance during her company’s upcoming engagement.  The free class will take place Saturday, October 14, 2017 on stage in the Bram Goldsmith Theater.  The class is scheduled for 90 minutes.  Dorrance Dance honors tap dance’s unique and powerful history in a new and dynamic context by upholding its tradition while simultaneously pushing it rhythmically, technically and conceptually.   This class focuses on technique through challenging drills with emphasis on clarity, time and musicality in order to develop the strongest possible technical range for each student. The class provides a very fun and positive atmosphere for learning this incredible American art form and hopes to keep the teachings of the master hoofers alive and well for generations to come!
