Special Cost: $1,000/classroom. Includes four classroom workshops and tickets to the show at The Wallis.

This is a special opportunity for 1-2 schools to host student writing workshops at your school and then have the Story Pirates bring the student stories to life on stage at The Wallis.

Story Pirates teaching artists collaborate closely with the classroom teachers to pick and customize the perfect curriculum;then, pairs of Story Pirates invade each classroom to bring improv games, creative brainstorms, and valuable tools that help each student write his or her own story over the course of four workshops, each up to an hour long. At the Story Pirates New Story Show, you'll see the world premiere of 2-3 stories written by students at your school. Performed alongside a few of their greatest hits stories, watch the Story Pirates celebrate the words and ideas of your very own student authors. This 45-minute show features 6 actors and a live pianist with colorful sets, costumes, and props to create a hilarious, inspiring, and one-of-a-kind event

Run-time: Approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes including a Q&A From the cozy horsebox they call home, struggling pantomime artists Andy and Andy take the bit firmly between their teeth and tell the classic tale as you’ve never seen it before.  Blending storytelling, music and puppetry, this re-telling of Black Beauty is sure to warm your heart.
